What else do you need besides gorgeous beaches, a sun-kissed tan, and yearlong outdoor activities?
We always took pride in the fact that Naples was a sophisticated beach destination with world-class hotels, resorts, and golf courses. Now, we have the facts to provide it! The Gallup-Healthways State of American Well-Being: 2015 Community Rankings were released at the end of February listing Naples, Florida, as the nation’s highest well-being community with the happiest and healthiest residents.
Naples received this high ranking due to the fact that the residents have the lowest levels of stress in the country, reported almost no depression, and eat healthy meals on a consistent basis. This isn’t a surprise to the residents of Naples. After all, what would they have to stress about when they wake up to the sound of waves hitting the sand and endless shopping and dining options within a few miles of their front door? Residents reported to greatly appreciate their daily activities and live amongst a lively and stimulating environment.
The activities
What do the residents enjoy so much? Besides being known for their beautiful beaches and golf courses, Naples provides diverse opportunities no matter how you decide to spend your day. The resorts, such as Naples Beach & Golf Hotel, are destinations all their own. With outdoor concerts, restaurants, and bars, you can have yourself a staycation every day of the year. Additionally, the acclaimed Tin City offers chartered boats, sea-to-fork restaurants, and shopping all in one area. And, of course, residents can’t get enough of the Naples Pier, which offers beautiful views of the coast while also being a fishermen and bird watchers paradise. No matter what your taste of the day, you can typically find it in your Naples backyard.
The people
Best of all, residents cheer for their town because of their sense of community. Naples is a melting pot of sorts. From Midwesterners and Northerners to Canadians and Europeans, no matter where you came from; you can connect to your neighbors in some capacity. Although diverse, it’s difficult to find an angry or unkind soul when you’re perpetually tan and in a tank top.
The market
The facts do speak for themselves. The Naples Area Board of REALTORS® (NABOR®) also released their 2015 annual report, citing market confidence and stability in the Naples housing market for 2016. This can be attributed to the great weather, the low cost of living, or the housing options for every budget and lifestyle.
If you’re in love with the beach, a golf enthusiast, or seeking out peace and quiet, you might belong in Naples yourself. Naples is known as a city but feels like a small town.
